Why “Syntropic”?
Entropy is the natural tendency toward disorder. Everything degrades over time. A website that was left untouched since 2019 no longer works properly on mobile. The Instagram with one photo every 3 months stopped appearing in feeds. An empty Google My Business convinces nobody. That’s entropy doing its work, slowly, without anyone noticing until it’s too late.
Syntropy is the opposite. It’s the force that organizes, connects, and grows. In biology, it’s what turns seeds into trees. In digital, it’s what transforms a scattered online presence into a system that works. That’s what we do.
Syntropic was founded in 2026 from a simple conviction: Portuguese SMEs deserve software with the same quality as large enterprises. Joao Jeronimo, Ricardo Mendes and Sara Lopes started the company in the Leiria area because they know the local business fabric. They know there are hundreds of businesses with excellent reputations and nonexistent digital presence. Syntropic exists to close that gap.
- 01
Syntropy as method
We don’t sell isolated services. We diagnose first, plan second, and only then build. Every project is a system that tends toward order, not another abandoned website.
- 02
Real proximity
We’re not an agency in Lisbon that answers through tickets. We’re in the area, we know the businesses, and we follow every project personally. When something needs attention, we pick up the phone.
- 03
Current technology
We keep up with web tooling and artificial intelligence, and update our stack regularly. The projects we deliver use current technology, with good performance and built to be maintained long term.
- 04
Continuous adaptation
Digital changes. What worked a few months ago may no longer be enough today. We stay current so our clients don't have to.
João Jerónimo
The first point of contact with every client. Joao listens to the business before talking technology. He understands numbers, operations, and how a restaurant in Alcobaca has different problems than a hotel in Nazare. Asks the right questions to figure out what needs solving. His job is to make sure we work on the right problem, not the convenient one. Follows every project from diagnostic to delivery, keeping the client informed and aligned at every stage. For him, a good project always starts with a good conversation.
Ricardo Mendes
Software engineer for over 10 years, specialized in web development, automation and artificial intelligence. Works with the Spec Driven Development methodology, where every project starts with a clear, validated specification before any code is written. Designs the project architecture, develops the technical solutions and makes sure everything works well on any device. Takes performance, accessibility and automated testing seriously. When there's a technical problem, he's the one who solves it. And keeps what's running up to date.
Sara Lopes
Takes care of the company's finances and each project's numbers, with a clinical eye for detail. Sara handles budgets, invoicing, cash flow and financial reporting. When a client asks how much something costs, she's the one who makes sure the answer is fair to both sides. Follows each project from the financial side, from proposal to close-out, with no surprises for the client or the team. Negotiates with suppliers, manages contracts, and keeps the operation healthy every quarter. For Sara, when the numbers add up, everything else can be built calmly.
