Who teaches

Ricardo Mendes, co-founder of Syntropic. I've spent the last 10+ years building software inside large companies, multinationals with teams spread across several countries, where the margin for error is narrow and a single production bug can cost tens of thousands of euros.

I use Claude every day at work: in commercial proposals, in production code, in data analysis that previously took days of manual effort, and in project management. It's become central to how I work.

I work directly with artificial intelligence and process automation: LLM integrations in production environments, autonomous agents wired into CRMs and ERPs, data engineering workflows that run without human supervision. The training I deliver comes out of that real work, not generic tutorials. I show what I actually use day to day, the mistakes I've made, and the point that rarely gets discussed: identifying the scenarios where automation produces real return, and those where the integration cost outweighs the gain.

What you'll learn

  1. Generative AI fundamentals: tokens, hallucinations, context window. In 30 minutes you'll understand why Claude sometimes invents answers, and how to prevent that in your own work.
  2. Setting up Claude: preferences, memory, three models (Haiku, Sonnet, Opus). You leave with your account configured, custom instructions written, and a clear sense of which model to use for which task.
  3. Real work: Chat, Cowork, Projects, Artifacts, Office, Connectors. Each tool demonstrated with a real case from your day-to-day, not with generic examples.
  4. Prompting that works: Task, Context, Constraints. The method I use for my own proposals, data analysis, and technical writing. We write the first prompts together during class.
  5. Responsible use: privacy, verification, ethical limits. What you can and can't put in prompts without breaking GDPR, how to validate critical outputs, and when not using AI is the right call.

The three options above cover most requests, but not all. Want 8 or 16 hours instead of 4? Weekly sessions rather than a single day? A bigger class, or a module built around your sector? Is the course certified by IEFP or DGERT?

Syntropic is in the DGERT certification process. Until complete, the course is delivered as non-certified professional training. The content and instructor are the same. Once certified, we'll update here.

What's the format?

4 hours of practical workshop. In-person in Leiria (on-site) or remote via Zoom/Teams. Groups of 4 to 20 people.

What language?

Portuguese. Materials are available in PT and EN. The instructor can deliver the session in English if the team prefers.

Do I need Claude installed beforehand?

No. We start from zero. Account creation and setup happen in-session.

When are the next dates?

Scheduled to fit. We reply within 24 hours with concrete proposals after contact.

Do you offer cancellation or refunds?

Yes, per the terms agreed in the contract. Typically cancellation 7 days before without cost.

Do you train for other models (GPT, Gemini)?

Claude only for now. The principles transfer. Those who learn here can use other models without issues.
